Year of the Tiger

It started with a sweatshirt from a thrift store. It was way too big for me but I loved the tiger graphic on the front, so I took it home and took it in. From then on tigers kept popping up in my life. It started with a nickname then materialized as a funny valentine’s day card which I decided to use as inspiration for this reduction woodblock print. Eventually this tiger even wound up as a surprise on my birthday cake! It was my year of the tiger.
