Mini Serengeti

An exercise in pushing the limits of red clay - normally reserved for larger and less detailed work- I chose it specifically for its color. The idea was to highlight the texture of the clay itself and add detail with underglazes. While the visual effect was successful, the properties of the red clay ultimately won as both of the Gazelle have broken into pieces.
