Curiosity

This is a very early piece. It was an exercise in hand building with clay using slabs. The cat is hollow and it’s ghost-like pose riffs off the old adage “curiosity killed the cat”.

This project very much satisfied my curiosity and forever sold me on my love of ceramics. Despite this piece being so old, it remains a representation of how animals and old wisdom serve as sources of inspiration in my work.
